How Well You Know Me? is one of those quirky social quiz games you find when scrolling through the Play Store late at night. It's basically a personality guessing game where you create a profile about yourself, answer questions about your habits, preferences, and quirks, and then challenge your friends to see how well they actually know you. The app sits in the trivia and social gaming category, but it feels more like a casual conversation starter than a competitive quiz. I stumbled upon it while looking for something to do with my friends during a hangout. After downloading it for free (no forced registration upfront), the first impression was surprisingly clean. The interface is mostly pastel colors and rounded buttons, nothing flashy, but it starts right away with a prompt to set up your own quiz. No tutorial pop-ups or ads hitting you before you even see the screen.

Once you actually start playing, the flow makes sense pretty quickly. You first answer about twenty questions about yourself, choosing between multiple choices for things like food, music, travel style, or even weird habits like how you fold your socks. Then you send a link to your friends through text or social media, and they take the same quiz guessing what you answered. The onboarding is basically nonexistent, but most people won't need a guide for this. The main actions are tapping answers, scrolling through short question sets, and sharing invites. One thing I noticed is that the app keeps score in a really simple way: it shows percentages per category, like how well someone guessed your tastes versus your personality traits. A small tip is to pick slightly specific answer choices for yourself, or else your friends will just guess randomly and still get high scores. The whole process feels smooth, no lag, and you can respond to other people's quizzes without leaving the main screen.

After using it for a few weeks on and off, I think this app works best for close friend groups or couples who already know each other well and want to prove it. It's not really for massive parties or strangers, because guessing feels more fun when there's some real knowledge involved. Compared to something like Psych!, which has more chaotic prompts and timed rounds, How Well You Know Me? feels calmer and more personal. What makes it different is that instead of just random trivia, you get results that actually say something about your relationships, like who pays the most attention to your daily habits. I've kept it installed mainly because it's small, uses almost no storage, and occasionally sparks interesting conversations with friends who forget some random detail about me. But I can see people uninstalling after a week if their friend group loses interest, since there's no single-player mode or daily challenges to keep you hooked alone.

features

  • 🎲 The quiz creation process is totally flexible. You get a default set of questions, but you can edit, add, or remove any of them before sharing. Most similar apps like Psych! only let you pick from pre-written questions, but here you can make questions like "What would I order at Starbucks if I was in a bad mood?" which feels way more personal.
  • 🎲 The results page breaks down scores into categories like Food, Lifestyle, and Personality. Instead of just a total number, you see exactly which areas your friend guessed correctly. App A typically only shows a final percentage, so this gives more meaningful feedback.
  • 🎲 The app tracks every quiz you've taken and every challenge sent to you in a history list. You can revisit old results anytime without taking the quiz again. Most other apps delete this data after a few days or hide it behind a paywall.

pros

  • 😊 No account needed to start playing. You can just download, create a quiz, and share a link. Psych! requires you to sign up with an email or Facebook account, which feels like an unnecessary hurdle when you just want to play with friends quickly.
  • 😊 The interface is minimal and loads fast even on older phones. Compared to Trivia Crack, which can feel bloated with ads and animations, this app stays lean and lets you focus on the actual quiz content.
  • 😊 The free version includes all core features. There are no locked question packs or hidden limits like in Quizoid, where you have to pay to unlock more categories. You get the full experience without spending anything.

cons

  • 😞 The friend limit is small. You can only have about 10 people take your quiz at once. When I tried to use it at a small gathering, I had to create multiple quizzes for different groups. Apps like Fun Feud don't have this restriction.
  • 😞 No audio or visual feedback when answering questions. The quiz feels a bit flat because there are no sound effects or animations after guessing correctly. Other social quiz apps often celebrate correct answers with sounds or confetti effects.
  • 😞 The questions tend to repeat across multiple quizzes. After creating a few profiles, you'll see the same options over and over. Unlike Sporcle, which rotates fresh trivia constantly, this app's pool feels limited after a week of use.
